Active Start & FUNdamentals ‘Try-it’ Day

Active Start FUNdamentals Registration formThe Hay River Try-it Day will be an opportunity for individuals with an intellectual disability to try our Special Olympic Sports. Active Start & FUNdamentals is a family-centered activity program for children with an intellectual disability ages 2-11. On December 8th, there will be Special Olympics NWT coaches and athletes showcasing Rhythmic Gymnastics & Swimming for new athletes of Hay River! We will walk as a group to the Kiwanis Park (park close to Super A). Each week we will be playing a different sport outside.

This is a by-donation program to promote healthy family fitness within the community. This is a charity program that supports the Family Support Centre. Each week we will ask for a cash donation to help the Family Support Centre build a new house. Each week we will do different fun fitness activities that can be voted upon by the public ahead of time in a Facebook pole that is posted the Monday before.
