Camp Information
Summer Heat has a maximum capacity of 30 campers per week. Registration packages will be reviewed in the order they were received. Information packages will be reviewed and Summer Heat staff will contact those who are successful in gaining a spot in the program. Once you have been contacted by Summer Heat staff, payment of the required fees must be made within 48 hours. If payment is not received within the 48 hour timeframe, your spot will be forfeited and will be offered to a waitlisted applicant. If you did not receive a spot, your child’s name will be added to a waitlist and you will be contacted if a spot becomes available. Payments can be made in person with credit, debit or cash. To ensure that Summer Heat staff can contact you easily and quickly, please ensure that ALL contact information provided is up to date and accurate.

Mandatory Confirmations
To be able to attend the Summer Heat program, you must accept the following policies ensuring that you have read and understand all of them. If you have any questions or concerns about the Summer Heat program and its policies, please contact the Recreation Programming Supervisor at programming@hayriver.com. Full details on the Summer Heat program policies and requirements can be found in the Summer Heat 2024 Information Package, available online at www.hayriver.com/youth-programs or in person at the Hay River Community Centre.

I understand that if my camper attends the program repeatedly without the proper supplies, the Recreation Programming Supervisor will contact me. I understand that if my camper continues to attend the program without the proper supplies after discussion with the Recreation Programmer Supervisor, my child will be removed from the program with no refund given.
Disciplinary Policy

I have read and understand the disciplinary policy as outlined in the Summer Heat Information Package. I understand and accept that if my camper repeatedly disregards the policy, camp rules or is aggressive towards staff, other campers or the facilities, they may be removed from the program with no refund given. I understand that if I have questions or concerns about the Disciplinary Policy, I can reach out to the Lead Play Leader and/or the Recreation Programming Supervisor.
