Visitor Information Centre

Where to Go For Information

One of the best stops you can make on your visit to Hay River is our Visitor Information Centre. Here you will find a pleasant, helpful and well-informed staff ready to do everything they can to help make your stay in the community completely enjoyable.

At the Hay River Visitor Information Centre you can pick up all the latest information on local events, from what's happening today in town to what the roads are like. You can also obtain the current forest fire rating, as well as where to stay, where to eat and what the fishing is like at all the hot spots. Take a peek at some old photos, read up on local history - or just visit, have a cup of coffee and chat with the staff and other visitors. You can also find plenty of information on fishing lodges in the area, other communities, the parks in the region, and how to inquire about local conducted tours.

Keep your eye on the big cork board which is posted with all sorts of extra information that may just make your holiday that much more interesting.

The Visitor Information Centre, is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the summer and closed during the winter.
