Deputy Mayor Andrew Cassidy

A life-long resident of the NWT, Andrew has called Hay River home for the past 15 years. Currently residing in Paradise Valley, Andrew along with his wife and daughter enjoy the numerous amenities and outdoor activities that are available within our community and the surrounding area.

Over the years Andrew has been involved in a variety of national, territorial and local volunteer organizations ranging from sports and service clubs to professional forestry associations. Andrew currently serves as the President of the Territorial Farmers Association and is a board member for the Hay River Community Youth Centre. In addition to working as a Forester with the Government of the Northwest Territories, Andrew enjoys working on his hobby farm and helping his wife as she expands her market gardening business.

With experience in long-term landscape planning, Andrew is excited to become involved in Hay River's Integrated Community Sustainability Plan. Given the natural beauty and friendly community atmosphere, Andrew is confident Hay River will continue to prosper and attract new residents.
